I am an artist-printmaker based in the North Wales countryside and work from my little studio on an organic dairy farm where I have a beautiful cast iron etching press.
I love to draw and study through drawing is at the core of everything I do: it’s where I learn all about the lines, shapes and shadows of my subject. For me printmaking is an extension of this; it is another way of drawing that enriches and enlivens my messy studies. I adore the physical processes involved and the smells, the touch and the rhythm of print.
My particular interest is intaglio printmaking, especially collagraph, but I enjoy playing with all printmaking processes; you will find a variety on my pages.
Animals and nature are always my primary inspiration (cows and chickens have been longstanding friends in my sketchbooks).
